And the poor fella didn’t even know to take the choke off after it fired over….the 192T will start with a total of three pulls, every time…..
Nice small saw, though, very light, and eally comes alive with a muffler mod like my new one, or full woods mods-my older 192…check out my video which features a much faster climb saw, the Jonsered 2139T, and how it responded to a muffler mod.

Looks like you been flamed enough. Let me know when you want to learn something about starting and using a chain saw.
Remember atoms are also small but can make a big bang if put together just right

I use chainsaws everyday at work, that looks like a Stihl ms019. Kickback is a concern with all chainsaws, but you’d have to be pretty dumb or a serious pussy to get hurt with a saw this small. It’s all just common sense…

The fact that you get/got away with something does not make it safe. People drive drunk on average hundreds of times before they get a DUI, probably thousands before they wreck and kill people. many people drive drunk and have never had a DUI or wrecked and killed anyone. That does not make it safe for them or for the rest of us.
Chainsaws are dangerous. We’re not commenting on your dance technique or how you hold your fork. You should learn the proper safe techniques.

the saw in this video is a top handled tree climbers saw, designed for use by professional arborists. the starting technique you refer to is for ground working saws only. to start a top handled saw by standing on it or holding it between your legs is unsafe and impractical as it does not have a rear handle to stand on… hence the name top handled saw.

I just saw a video on starting a chain saw and they recommend putting it on the ground and holding it with you right foot or holding the back between your legs. Which looks safer than what you did.

What the heck, I drop-start the small ones too Hey, was that a 200, 192 or 191? They’re not hard to start, but very particular about their priming. Three to four pumps on the bulb, no more (when cold), full choke ’til it kicks, then half-choke and 1-2 more pulls and you’re usually good to go. I did hear that the 191 was about the only bad saw Stihl ever made. I love the 200 and have a 192 now - good climbing saw for the money, but the 200 is a lot stronger. (Some a-hole stole mine).
