Yes they are now but in the past they were two different companies. Jonsered had the better saw and Husqvarna knew that. So they bought them and several other saw companies. If you cannot make a better saw, them buy them. They now have one fine set of saws

Haha “Pays to do it right the first time.”
I have a vintage McCulloch Pro Mac 650 (mftrd 1978-1985). Never once had to change the fuel line on it… then again, I recently purchased it and I haven’t put any serious mileage on it yet
Nice [educational] video, thank you.

Walter

For a couple of years we have been using “Aspen” 2stroke and apparently the rubber parts in the fuel-system are lasting a lot longer. This fuel is a lot less “agressive” than regular fuel. On top of that : no smoke, no smell, easy starting… Ever tried it?

Yes it was but now they have a new fuel line and they should last longer.
I have also fixed many fuel line problems on Stihl saws

I also have done this faster by routing the line through the carb air box before puling the line into the fuel tank. Remember me when your sthil quits on you when you need it most.

It all depends on the Stihl Model. Some you have to remove the carb to change the fuel line. But before you can do that you have to go so a Stihl dealer and talk to someone that know nothing about changing the line. All because you can not buy parts on line. You need a part from me for a Jonsered or Husqvarna . just email me.
