Stihl has the highest quality of chainsaws and they last the longest. Nice vid. Keep taking care of that saw so it will last even longer.

I have a McCulloch Pro Mac 610 which is 30 years old. I also have a Stihl which is 8 years old and it works great as well. The old Pro Mac was my dads saw - they made em really good back in those days. Still running great. I expect my Stihl will keep going as well. Great saws.

LOL, I’ll have to do that then!

BTW, I do love your videos.. you teach a lot of regular stuff that lots of folks just don’t know about!

It’s sad that the everyday things that our folks knew are not known by half the people nowdays (maybe more).

And now with everyone worried about food prices, how many folks do you think will actually put up a garden in their backyards? A lot I hope… but I am not so sure. But folks like you who put out good info might just help a lot of people out.

You have an Eager Beaver chainsaw? I am so jealous. Have you ever heard of the video game called Doom? The chainsaw in Doom is modeled after the Eager Beaver. One of the game developers had that same brand name sitting in his garage. When the developers needed a chainsaw to model after, the guy went and got his. So if you ever sell it, put it on ebay as the same brand name as the “Doom Chainsaw.”

I guess as long as your happy with your saw, you tend to like the brand for life.

I’ve got a stihl along with an off brand… I love the Stihl, the off brand was fine also, just not as good. But dang, one day I lost the oil cap, and can’t seem to find a replacement, (Eager Beaver)

I was a Huskie man for years, then I bought a Stihl 290, then another 290… LOL I’ve been very pleased with these saws. We heat solely with wood and put up 3-4 cords a year (here in the south we don’t need much) and the Stihls are great saws! Thanks. Survival Report

Gotta say love the videos lots of great information, and the forums are awsome as well. Just a thought though I know you know about wikipedia, well a lot of different communities have used the wikipedia software (not sure where to get it) to make there own what-ever-pedia. It would be great to have a survivalistpedia, would be a good way to organize all the information out there and make it easy to access for those who want to gain it. Just a thought.
