over here in australia us pro loggers refer to the husky’s as sewing machines….stihl are the only real choice for a all day carrier…ms660 and 088 size anyway

Husqvarna make the worlds best chainsaw

  3. edster110 April 2, 2009

your right… how it dances round on the floor is irrelivant when your up in a tree

  4. MRCScotty April 2, 2009

Exacly what I thought. and if the husky has any kind of rubber on the bottom it won’t rotate..

im as orange as orange can be but i have to admit, the 200 is a much better saw, kinda kicking my self for not picking one up instead of my 338

since when do you hold a chainsaw on the bottom of it

anti vibration system is in the handle

The stihl is the same weight as the husqvarna 3.5kg,I got the Husky 334t and it more powerful than the stihl and if you do not believe that look and comper yourself.

Thats because the stihl is so damn light!Thats what you want in an arborist saw

its not even debated that stihl makes a much better climbing saw then husky any of the other saws are just personal preference stihl anti vibration system is built into the handles not the motor mounts like in huskys thats why the jumping happened

My 455 Rancher jumps all over the place when sitting on the ground idling. Are you sure it was running?

Not bad, some sound with the video would have been an intelligent thing to do so we could hear if engine RPM were similar.

It is possible the Stihl does vibrate like a 25c bed in a cheap hotel as many are no longer made in Germany where they should be. The real German quality is mostly not with Stihl now. Made somewhere else quite often, so those who say the “good ol Stihl is tough” are definitely spot on, some of the newer stuff is not good

Serial numbers do “vary” though they do give manufacturing run dates. usually this helps to facilitate factory recalls, though sometimes there’s going to be a few lemons. personally i think new saws are going the way of everything else. “make it so it breaks” how else will they make any money, if they make something that lasts a lifetime they wont be getting any big business from you anymore apart from chains and files. give me an old saw any day and keep this new shit on the shelves.

    i know

stihl has raw power nothing can slow it down to dead

  15. MartysTreeService April 2, 2009

I have the same saw and it would be pretty eaaasy to get it not to move by putting little clear sticky bumpers on the bottom. Not that you did that.

  16. fweedle April 2, 2009

    heeeee

  17. husqyfan April 2, 2009

watch the chain brake and bar, you can see the vibration from the engine running.

  18. micromachinebob April 2, 2009

how do we know the husqvarna is even running!!

  19. treklr April 2, 2009

I’ll agree to that. I too have several saws, have ran pretty much all of them. Power and speed I’ll have to give to Stihl, Torque to Husky. The jonsered 670 Champ was probably the best preforing saw ever. the new Husky 575 very impresive but i doubt it would hang with my 460. I do prefer the 338 over the 020 or 019 climbing saw. The 338 is lighter too.

who the fuck wants a chainsaw vibraTING ALL OVER THE PLACE WHEN IT RUNS? i dont u want it to stay there and idle with lil vibration. so whatever u think if fucking wrong

  21. jttruckeravi8r April 2, 2009

the stihls making horsepower while the junkvarna jsut sits there. That stihl wants to cut some wood!

  22. soulsuckeddry April 2, 2009

    Robot wars!

  23. ScabbaRanker April 2, 2009

I’ll bet the springs in the Husky were new, and the rubber bushings in the Stihl were older than the hills….

How low was the idle on the Husky and how high was it on the Stihl?

Any broken mounts on the Stihl?

I’ve never seen any chainsaw do that that doesn’t have something not operating properly.

Fix up and tune up the Stihl and it’ll sit still just like any saw is supposed to.

  24. UltraFunkyDump April 2, 2009

I heard that Stihl married Husqvarna over the weekend. They shall now be known as either Hustihlvarna or Stihusqvarnal.
