I saw that video after I posted my comment. Thank you for your response though.

Husqvarna does have a superior anti- vibration system which is why you’re seeing more “hop” on the Stihl. Check out the “Husqvarna saw low vibration” video on youtube for more about this. I, of course, prefer Husqvarna. If you are a professional sawyer, make sure you get an XP Husqvarna. These are the professional saws and the best of the best.

My question is this: the stihl seems to be vibrating a lot more here; are husky’s a smoother running saw, or is just because of how they are sitting on the log? Also, which saw do you prefer and why? I own a stihl, but I’d like to try a husky at some point just to see the difference.

Haven’t found any differents betwin the old Husqvarna we had and the new STIHL other than the new STIHL is more effectiv, but it can have to do to with the age.

Husqvarna’s intake is at the side cover. Stihl draws air from rear of the saw.

the stupid stihl fans cannot loose

  10. Dmast1881 April 16, 2009

Why didn’t that guy throw sawdust directly into the Husky’s intake? At the rear of the saw? Hmm….

  11. karri0n1 April 16, 2009

And this video doesn’t show anything.

I don’t know, and can’t offer anything valid, but everyone says stihls are more reliable. Seems like the diff between a jap car and an american car. You could prob run the stihl underwater.
